Getting Your Sprinkler System Up and Running: Adjustments and Repairs

To ensure your sprinkler system is ready for use, follow these simple steps: 
Ensure Proper Winterization: Before you begin, check if your system was winterized. If it was, confirm that all drains and valves are set back to their operating positions.

• Turn on the Main Valve: Once you're ready, turn on the main valve. Allow a few minutes for the system to fill up fully.
• Check for Leaks: After giving the system time to fill, inspect it carefully for any leaks. There should be no water flowing after a few moments, as the valves will close.
• Verify Water Flow: Open the meter lid to make sure no water is flowing through the system.
• Inspect Each Zone: Check each zone and sprinkler head individually. Identify any problems, fix them, and make any necessary adjustments.
• Shut Off the Timer: After ensuring everything is in proper working order, turn off the timer until it's time to begin watering.
